In joint work with Stephen Bates (Birmingham) and Mark Goodwin (Coventry), Stephen McKay looked at the membership and chairship of select committees of the House of Commons, and how female representation has changed over time. This involved looking at the membership of select committees and documenting how that has changed, particularly in response to changes of the party of government and female representation in the House of Commons more generally.
